Suspect In Texas Homecoming Shooting Arrested

Suspect In Texas Homecoming Shooting Arrested

Over the weekend we reported that a gunman went on a rampage inside an off-campus homecoming party that resulted in two deaths and at least 14 others injured.

According to ABC News, Brandon Ray Gonzales, 23, from Greenville, Texas, was taken into custody for his role in Saturday’s shooting.

Hunt County Sheriff Randy Meeks said that Gonzales was arrested at the car dealership where he works.

He has been booked into the Hunt County jail on for the capital murder of multiple people. His bail has been set at $1 million.

As we reported, the shooting happened at a location called The Party Venue near A&M University-campus in Greenville.

The sheriff said the scene of the incident was “horrific” with shows and costumes scattered all over the venue. Five of Saturday’s victims are still in the hospital, with four in good condition and one who is in critical condition.

Kevin Berry Jr. From Dallas and Byron Craven Jr. from Arlington, 23, were both killed. Police believe that the shooting may have been targeted for one person, but, Gonzales ended up shooting at random at over 750 people.
