Barron Brantley, one of the suspects involved in the death of Alexis Crawford, has been arrested and charged with murder. He also has a history of violent crimes.
11Alive reports the 21-year-old was arrested earlier today and has previous charges for preventing a person from making an emergency phone call and multiple probation violations. The probation violations include charges of theft, battery, family violence and third-degree child cruelty. Brantley waived his first court appearance for Saturday morning and has a scheduled preliminary hearing before a Fulton Superior Court judge on Nov.22
Days before Crawford’s death, she filed a police report against Brantley after he made unwanted sexual advances towards her. Police said in the report Crawford went to Grady Memorial Hospital to file a report of sexual assault. Brantley followed Crawford into her bedroom but she exited the room and entered a bathroom alone. She didn’t remember anything else after that point.

“The victim stated that the suspect rubbed his hand on her shoulder and kissed her on the neck. The victim stated that she asked the suspect what was he doing and he stated he thought she was Ms. Jones.”
