Sad news comes in as Alaina Housley the niece of Tamera Mowry and Adam Housley has died in the California club shooting.
Following Wednesday nights mass shooting at a Thousand Oaks club, Tamera Mowry and Adam Housley spent hours trying to find their missing niece Alaina Housley.
Sadly, the news was just released that she was one of the 12 victims killed.
“Our hearts are broken. We just learned that our niece Alaina was one of the victims of last night’s shooting at the Borderline bar in Thousand Oaks,” the couple said in a statement issued to E! News on Thursday afternoon.
“Alaina was an incredible young woman with so much life ahead of her and we are devastated that her life was cut short in this manner. We thank everyone for your prayers and ask for privacy at this time.”
When the tragedy first took place, The Los Angeles Times reported they saw Adam arrive at Los Robles Regional Medical Center searching for Alaina.
“A guard didn’t let him through, saying it was on lockdown. He said Alaina, a Pepperdine freshman, was at the bar with several friends. Her Apple Watch and iPhone still showed her location on the dance floor.”
Adam told the newspaper,
“My gut is saying she’s inside the bar, dead. I’m hoping I’m wrong.”
As of now, there has been no word on the motive for the killing but the shooter did take his own life making 13 total deaths.
Our condolences are with the Housley family and all those who are suffering from this unthinkable incident.
