Tay-K Second Murder Case: Prosecutors Push To Have Rapper Tried As An Adult
Texas prosecutors are pushing to have rapper Tay-K tried as an adult for his role in the second murder he’s accused of involving Mark Saldivar, 23. Just weeks ago, he was sentenced to 55 years for the murder he was initially on the run from involving Ethan Walker, 21.
While the rapper, real name Taymor McIntyre, was just 16 at the time of the fatal 2016 shooting, Texas prosecutors want him to face harsher consequences in this capital murder case; similar to his being tried as an adult in that of his first.
Additionally, Bexar County D.A.’s office spokeswoman Nicole Perez says prosecutors are seeking to have McIntyre certified to stand trial. His certification hearing has yet to be scheduled.
