Teen Who Killed Three People Gets Probation
A young girl from Atlanta who was charged for hitting and killing three pedestrians in Woodstock pleaded guilty Monday and was granted probation. She would have faced 36-months in jail.
WSBTV reports that Kathy Deming, Kaitlin Hunt and Hunt’s 3-month-old daughter Riley were walking to a concert at the Woodstock amphitheater when 17-year-old Zoe Reardon hit them. Zoe was allegedly using her phone behind the wheel and the street was poorly lit.
The young baby is reported to have died immediately, while the two other victims died a few days later at the hospital.
During her court appearance on Monday after numerous hours of testimony, the judge accepted Reardon’s plea and added that she won’t serve any time behind bars. Instead, she received 36 months of probation.
