A Bronx woman who just turned 107 recently shared that she was able to live such a long life because she never got married. Now, a Texas grandmother who just turned 110 is also sharing her secret to a long and healthy life.
Elizabeth Francis, born in Louisiana, celebrated her milestone on Saturday with family, friends and community leaders. From there, she revealed that it wasn’t any special remedies or tricks that kept her alive for this long. She said it was simply her faith in God.
“Blessing of the Lord. He’s the one keeping me. That’s why I’m living,” said Francis.
Francis is relatively healthy for a woman who’s seen six generations of change. She’s still sharp and has her memory. Her family says they’re greatful for her wisdom, the stories she shares and her smile.
“It’s really special because she’s been able to watch and see all of her grandchildren grow up and be a part of their lives,” Ethel Harrison, Francis’ granddaughter, told KTRK.
