Looks like there may be some major changes to the Victoria’s secret fashion snow as the CEO announces a major move!
The Victoria’s Secret fashion has been a major show dating back to 1995 with models walking down the runway in lingerie and angel wings.
But that may soon come to an end after Victoria’s Secret parent company L Brands CEO Les Wexner says they are rethinking a few things in regards to the annual show.
This past show which was aired on CNBC didn’t have the highest ratings and received major backlash after their chief marketing officer Ed Razek made a statement about the future of their models.
As of now, they are reevaluating if the network is the right fit to promote the brand. Wexner released a statement saying the brand is changing and “developing exciting and dynamic content and a new kind of event — delivered to our customers on platforms that she’s glued to…”
The CEO believes that this latest concept will push “the boundaries of fashion in the global digital age.”
With the future of Victoria’s Secret and their fashion show, they have a lot of work to do when it comes to diversifying their models both with body positivity and LGBTQIA+ inclusion. Until that happens, they will continue to see a continued drop in sales while leaving a sour taste in people’s mouths.
