Tiffany Haddish Cancels Atlanta Show Over ‘Heartbeat’ Law

Many celebrities are completely against the latest anti-abortion bill that was signed into law by Atlanta Gov. Brian Kemp. As we previously reported, the bill makes most abortions illegal after six weeks, or when a fetal heartbeat can be heard.

Actress and comedian Tiffany Haddish has made the decision to cancel her performance at the Fox Theatre this month because she is against the controversial “heartbeat law.” Haddish explained her reason in a statement, saying,

“After much deliberation, I am postponing my upcoming show in Atlanta.  I love the state of Georgia, but I need to stand with women and until they withdraw Measure HB481, I cannot in good faith perform there,” WSBTV quotes.

The news reports that Fox Theatre officials said tickets will be refunded. However, as of right now, the comedian has not set a new date at the Fox given the uncertainty regarding the law.
