Tiffany Haddish feels that she doesn’t fit in with the celebrity scene.
The comic revealed details about how she’s dealing with her new found fame and interacting with some of Hollywood’s finest.
“I definitely, totally, feel like I’m on the outside. I mean, where I came from is definitely on the outside, and that’s what made me who I am.”
She even told an interesting story about a time she hit on one of Hollywood’s most critically acclaimed actors, Leonardo DiCaprio, after meeting him at a Beverly Hills party. She claims he never called. She said she told him,
“So I want to hit that – but I only want to do it to you as your character out of What’s Eating Gilbert Grape.”
The “Girls Trip” breakout star found fame a little later in life after a troubled upbringing. Born and raised in one of the poorest neighborhoods in South Central Los Angeles, she made it out of humble beginnings. Her father admitted to being behind the fatal car accident that left her mother brain damaged and potentially caused her schizophrenia. Even though her father confessed to wanting the accident to kill her mother and her children, he came to one of Tiffany’s shows recently and the two seemed to have patched things up.
When asked by Lorraine Kelly about hosting the 2019 Academy Awards, the actress thinks it would be “pretty cool” but still expressed her support for her “Night School” co-star Kevin Hart.
