Todd And Julie Chrisley Get Criminal Case Postponed
“Chrisley Knows Best” stars Todd and Julie Chrisley have had their criminal case postponed so that they can review all the extensive evidence.
According to The Blast, court documents show that a Federal judge postponed their court hearing from September until October 22.
The judge adds that this will allow Todd and Julie to go over the evidence that the prosecutor submitted against them.
“The Court finds that the ends of justice in continuing the pretrial conference outweigh the rights that the Defendants and the public has in a speedy trial.”
As we reported, the reality stars were indicted by a federal grand jury on multiple counts of conspiracy, bank fraud, wire fraud, and tax evasion.
In a statement, U.S. Attorney Byung J. “BJay” Pak. previously said that “Todd and Julie Chrisley are charged not only with defrauding a number of banks by fraudulently obtaining millions of dollars in loans, but also with allegedly cheating taxpayers by actively evading paying federal taxes on the money they earned.”
The couple deny any wrongdoing.
