Tomi Lahren is not here for Colin Kaepernick and his pull at Nike as she makes a comment about the recent Betsy Ross Nike collaboration.
Colin Kaepernick has become a big voice for Nike ever since his ad went viral back in September. Recently, he reached out to his connect over at Nike and asked them to remove their American flag collaboration with Betsey Ross.
Nike who of course does not want to lose Kaepernick as a spokesperson agreed. However, Tomi Lahren, who has never really been a fan of Kaepernick’s, is not here for Nike’s decision calling Kaepernick
“disgrace to this country.”
She continued to share her thoughts calling him a
“spokes cry-baby” and is shocked that he’s “offended and oppressed” by a shoe.
The Air Max 1 Quick Stike was obviously in celebration of the 4th of July holiday. However, the Betsy Ross flag, and the circle of 13 stars has been connected to groups with racist ideologies, as well as a connection to slavery.
Nike did release a statement saying,
“based on concerns that it could unintentionally offend and detract from the nation’s patriotic holiday.”
Although Lahren was unlikely to pick up a pair of the sneakers for the holidays, many are happy that Nike listened to Kaepernick. As for Lahren, she believes Nike is “making a big mistake” by allowing Kaepernick to dictate what product they sell.
“They endorse him whole-heartedly,” Lahren said. She also believes Americans are “done with Nike.”
