Trey Songz’ Alleged Assault Victim Drops Her Lawsuit

Last year, Trey Songz was sued by a woman named Andrea Buera. She claimed the singer assaulted her at a party in the Hollywood Hills, during NBA All-Star Weekend. In her suit she said Songz became enraged after she “talked to one of his friends.”

The singer was arrested for the alleged attack but both the L.A. City Attorney and the D.A. both declined to press charges against Songz. They cited a lack of evidence as the reasoning. However, following the criminal case being dismissed, Buera filed her suit against Songz for assault and battery, relating to the alleged incident.

Songz has always denied the allegations, and said he was “being lied on and falsely accused for someone’s personal gain.” He also claimed self defense by stating he wasn’t responsible for any injuries Buera sustained during the altercation as he “reasonably believed Plaintiff was going to harm him and any force he used was only the amount reasonable necessary to protect himself.” Now, according to the latest update by The Blast, court documents show that Andrea Buera has informed the court she is dismissing all claims against Songz (real name Tremaine Neverson). She dismissed the case with prejudice, meaning it can’t be filed again.

The singer has not publicly spoken out on these latest updates. Until then, let us know your thoughts on this in the comment box below.
