President Donald Trump posted on Twitter Sunday that he is threatening to launch a federal investigation against SNL and other late-night shows for their commentary about his presidency.
According to AOL News, Trump ranted on Twitter about the SNL making jokes about his presidency and called their content “one-sided media”. He stated that SNL spends too much time mocking him over and over in each show in reference to an episode that aired on Saturday.
“It’s truly incredible that shows like Saturday Night Live, not funny/no talent, can spend all of their time knocking the same person (me), over & over, without so much of a mention of ‘the other side.’ Like an advertisement without consequences. Same with Late Night Shows,”
Trump also inquired in the thread if the Federal Election Commission and the FCC should look into SNL and other late night shows. However, the episode titled “It’s a Wonderful Trump” was a re-run and aired on December 15, 2018.

During the episode’s original airing, Trump typed a similar rant on Twitter:
“It is nothing less than unfair news coverage and Dem commercials. Should be tested in courts, can’t be legal?”
