A double date ended in tragedy after Texas two men died in a murder-suicide.
According to ABC 13, Austin Smith,27, and Coby Rigsby,32, were arguing during a double date with their girlfriends on Sunday. The altercation began when Rigsby was arguing with his girlfriend and Smith intervened during the couple’s dispute. Rigsby and Smith started physically attacking each other in front of Rigsby’s home in Kennington. The fight ended when Rigsby grabbed a pistol and Smith, along with the two women, left the scene.
Moments after Smith went back to Rigsby’s home to load his four-wheeler onto a trailer, Rigsby shot and killed him. When authorities were notified, Rigsby shot and killed himself before deputies arrived at the scene.

Police responded to a call about the shooting before arriving at the scene around 3:15 a.m. when they discovered Smith’s body on the driveway next to his pickup truck and four-wheeler.
Smith’s girlfriend told police that they went mudding with the other couple before the shooting. He died a day before his 28th birthday.
The case is currently being investigated by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
