Two People Shot At Newport Centre Mall In Jersey City

A shooting has occurred early Friday evening at Newport Centre Mall resulting in two people reported to be in critical condition.

According to CBS New York, police responded to multiple reports of a shooting occurring at the mall around 6:15 p.m. One person was found with bullet wounds on the neck and foot. Shoppers were immediately evacuated after authorities arrived at the scene. RELATED STORIES: R. They sustained a gunshot wound to the abdomen. NJ Transit temporarily suspended bus service moments after the shooting.
“Bus service to/from Newport Center Mall in Jersey City has been temporary stopped due to local police activity. All buses service will terminate/originate on Washington St. Additional bus information will be forthcoming.”
