Two women were attacked with an ax inside of a Brooklyn apartment early Saturday morning while a small girl sat in another room. Police reported that one of the victims instantly died at the scene.
The New York Post reports Savannah Rivera, 20, was found dead inside of an eighth floor apartment in the Bushwick Houses. Medics reported that Rivera’s fingers were cut into pieces along with stab injuries on her head and body. Prior to the discovery, another woman named Angela Valle, who was also assaulted by the ax-wielding suspect called an Uber around 1:30 a.m. so she can be taken to a local hospital. The driver noticed she was bleeding profusely and called 911.
The 21-year-old told medics that a dead body was in her apartment and that her daughter was in another room. Detectives reported that Rivera, may have been visiting the apartment before the attack and Valle’s four-year-old was not harmed.

NYPD officers found the ax inside of a trash compactor and the woman’s daughter was rushed to Woodhull Medical Center for an evaluation.

Valle is reported to be in critical condition and police have listed her ex-boyfriend as a main suspect. He is presently being questioned at the 90th Precinct.
