The rapper and his team release a statement on his recent bench warrant.
Earlier today we reported that a judge issued a bench warrant for the arrest of Tyga; this after he failed to appear in court for the 2015 case where a fan sued him and his music company for alleged injuries sustained during a concert.
While releasing a statement to Hollywood Unlocked, representatives for the LA rapper explain, “Tyga was scheduled to appear for a deposition on March 4, 2019 pertaining to a default judgement arising of the State of Michigan in connection with a plaintiff who claimed to suffer an injury while attending Tyga concert.”
Additionally, they state, “However; due to a last minute work obligation, Tyga was forced to miss the debtor’s exam. The judge issued the bench warrant for the sole purpose of ensuring that Tyga will sit for the next debtor’s exam. This is a civil matter.”
