Despite the chaos amid Donald Trump’s border crisis, the U.S State Department has started working with Mexico to secure the border with high tech scanners that detect drugs hidden inside people.

The Blast reports that the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs released an announcement to deploy special scanners “in order to efficiently and effectively detect contraband hidden on and inside an individual’s body.”

The state department is looking to install 14 scanners along the border in a “busy environment.” The devices will be able to “quickly capture an image of pedestrians while minimally impeding the flow of traffic.”The government is looking to install the scanners at three pedestrian crossing points along the border. They aim to scan 100 people per hour.

The new measures come after Donald Trump announced that high tech devices would be used to prevent the transfer of narcotics, currency, weapons, explosives and harmful chemicals/biological agents into the U.S.  They are also aiming to prevent illegal human trafficking.
