UPDATE: 10-Year-Old Who Was Shot At High School Football Game In NJ Has Died

As we previously reported, shots were fired last Friday during a high school football game in New Jersey. A total of three people were shot and dozens of others were injured while trying to escape.

According to the latest updates by CBS, one of the three victims has unfortunately died. 10-year-old Micah Tennant passed away from his gunshot injuries just days after being shot at the Pleasantville-Camden High School football game.

It was also said that a 27-year-old-man and a 15-year-old boy were also hurt. The injured adult male had a gun at the game and faces weapons charges, police said. Police have also charged five other men in connection with the New Jersey shooting.

Micah, who was shot in the neck, died Wednesday, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner said in a news release:

“Words at this time seem so insufficient to portray the anger and outrage that our community feels,” Tyner said. “However, his spirit will live on in so many people that he inspired.”

The little boy who was also know as Micah “Dew,” according to a GoFundMe page that had raised more than $26,000 by Wednesday.
