Update: 12 Victims In Virginia Beach Shooting Identified
As we previously reported, 12 people were tragically killed on Friday after a man opened fire at the Virginia Beach Municipal Center.
Virginia Beach Police Chief James A. Cervera identified the suspect as DeWayne Craddock Saturday morning. The 40-year-old worked for the city for about 15 years. Police officials said they found multiple weapons at the scene of the shooting and later at Craddock’s home. City Manager Dave Hansen held a news conference on Saturday morning and released the identities of the victims, all but one who were city employees.

Friday’s shooting has been considered the nation’s deadliest shooting of the year worked for the city.
“We want you to know who they were so you can learn in the weeks and months to come what they meant to all of us, their families, their friends and their coworkers,” City Manager Dave Hansen. “They leave a void that we will never be able to fill.”
