Hollywood Unlocked spoke with sources that confirmed despite earlier media reports, Nicki Minaj did not send a $5,000 gift basket to Cardi B for her newborn daughter Kulture Kiara Cephus.
We earlier reported that Nicki reached out to LA baby store Petit Trésor as soon as she got word that Cardi and Offset had welcomed their daughter and purchased a $5,000 gift basket for the new parents. Sources at the store reportedly told The Blast that Nicki ordered the basket on Thursday. However, after reaching out to the store and speaking with members of Cardi’s camp, no gift basket was confirmed.
It was reported that the “Chun-Li” rapper requested that the basket be “as girly as possible,” and stuffed with some of the store’s most popular items, including luxury seasonal clothes, dolls, stuffed animals, and a sterling silver rattle. However, after we shared the story on our Instagram page, Cardi let us know personally that the reports were “not true”.
The luxurious gift basket was reportedly shipped directly to Cardi and Offset’s Atlanta residence. Reports of the extravagant gift spread across major media outlets as many speculated that Nicki sent the basket in efforts of permanently ending the brief feud they had over their verses on the hit song “Motorsport”.
The two were photographed together at the Met Gala earlier this year where they reportedly put their issues behind them. Take a look at the photos below.
