There has been clarification coming from the office of Mathew Knowles following reports that he made regarding Beyonce and Jagged Edge
Mathew Knowles has taken to his social media account to clarify a couple of things following his recent interview with VladTv.
During the interview, it was reported that Knowles claimed members of Jagged Edge had sexually assaulted members of Destiny’s Child. During the interview, he didn’t reveal names of the Jagged Edge members but he did mention Beyonce and Kelly Rowland.
In a post to Instagram, Knowles says that he is disappointed in the stories that have been released since the interview saying that he never said they were sexually harassed.
“I feel the need to clarify that I did not say that the girls were sexually harassed while on tour,” he says visibly upset. “What I said was they were harassed.”
He also shared that there may have been implications taken from what he said, but in no way was he implying that there were sexual advances being made towards the then 16-year-old girls.
“The term sexual harassment may imply to some to mean physical, sexual advances, and I certainly would throw the members of Jagged Edge under the bus in the world that we live in today using sexual in any dialogue.”
This all comes as Knowles was promoting his new book, “Destiny’s Child: The Untold Story” where he said;
“Now, remember… the girls are minors. They’re 16-years-old, the guys are 21 and 22-years-old. I got a call from Kelly and Beyoncé saying that they were constantly being harassed by two of the members in Jagged Edge. I couldn’t have that.”
As of now, Knowles is asking everyone who implied sexual advances to apologize. Take a look at the video below!
