Utah Student Goes Missing After Taking A Lyft
A University of Utah student has gone missing after she took a Lyft home from the airport.
The NY Post reports that Mackenzie Lueck, 23, disappeared June 17, after she landed at Salt Lake City Airport. Upon arrival, she messaged her parents to inform them of her arrival. She then ordered a Lyft and was never seen again.
Police report that the Lyft driver has been cooperating with them, but, claims that he dropped her off and continued working and picking up other passengers.
Her roommates say that she had never showed up and that her car has not been moved. In addition, she missed a school exam.
“It is very uncharacteristic for her [to] not stay in contact with family and friends,” a Facebook post read,
As of now, police say that they have no information on her whereabouts and that her mobile phone has been turned off.
