This driver literally defines “technology on the go” after being stopped by Vancouver police.
The Daily Mail UK reports a traffic officer was stunned after discovering the driver wearing headphones that led straight to the steering wheel. The driver created his own entertaining system.
The strange occurrence was posted on Twitter:
‘Can’t make it up. Guy had iPad and cell phone attached by strings on steering wheel while driving! Yes, that’s his ticket he is holding.’
Although the regular traffic fine was $368, it was reduced to $81 and the traffic cop gave the anonymous driver a lengthy lecture about the dangers of distracted driving.

Constable Jason Douchette states the importance of reminding drivers about safety:
‘We are reminding drivers to leave their devices alone while behind the wheel. Our officer felt education was appropriate in this incident.’
However, a motorist was not given the same treatment when he was caught playing Pokémon Go.
‘While playing Pokémon Go may be fun, it’s not worth risking your life or the lives of others so that you can play while driving!’
The Pokémon Go driver was fined $368 for distracted driving:
‘Not to mention the $368 ticket this driver received after he pulled up beside two police officers while playing & driving,’
