White House Slams Nancy Pelosi Prior To Meeting with Donald Trump
The White House just slammed House Speaker Nancy Pelosi moments before her meeting with Donald Trump by taking to Twitter to vent it’s “feelings.”
“Nancy Pelosi released a plan that will not reopen the government because it fails to secure the border and puts the needs of other countries above our own citizens. Her plan does not fund our homeland security or keep Americans safe from human, trafficking, drugs and crime,” tweeted the White House.
Ironically, press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders had also released a statement prior adding that Trump made a “serious, good faith offer to Democrats to open the government, address the crisis at our border, and protect all Americans.”
“We have heard nothing back from the Democrats, who so far have refused to compromise,” she added.
As we reported, the Democrats had announced a plan that would help temporarily reopen the government and only allow $1.3 billion for border-wall funding. This was not the $5 billion that Trump had asked for, but, would help repair the current wall.
Donald Trump is scheduled to meet with the Democrats and Republicans on Wednesday afternoon at the White House to discuss the government shutdown and his funding. Today marks the 11th day that the government has been closed.
