White Supremacist Propaganda Has Been Found In Target Boxes Of Diapers
Target customers in several states are finding white supremacist propaganda inside boxes of diapers, according to the Anti-Defamation League.
Inside the diaper boxes, laminated index-size cards can be found containing a racist message: “It’s okay to be white” along with a list of white supremacist groups websites including The Right Stuff, the Daily Stormer, and the Traditionalist Worker Part on the other side of the card.
Target and Pampers have issued a public apology.
“We sincerely apologize and share our guest’s concerns about the inappropriate message they found in their Target purchase,” a Target spokesperson told Adweek. “We’re working to urgently address this matter and are actively investigating this with our security teams. While we’re not able to share specific details of the investigation, we encourage any guests who may have received this message to share their experience by calling Target Guest Relations at 1-800-591-3869.”
Tad Russell, a father to a three-week-old daughter, discovered the note and alerted both companies. Russell isn’t sure if the note was slipped in during packing or if someone put it through one of the handles. He alerted Target and Pampers through Twitter of what he found.
Target tweeted back apologizing and saying an investigation is underway.
Russell, a very concerned parent said he’s willing to sit down and have a conversation with the person responsible.
“I really hope that they can know that there are good people out there that will care enough to talk with you,” he said.
