Chicago tourists experienced a scary moment when the protective glass layer at the Willis Tower’s SkyDeck cracked underneath their feet.
According to the New York Post, multiple witnesses reported that the glass layer started cracking underneath their feet Wednesday. Officials reported that the visitors had nothing to worry about since the glass was made to hold up to five tons and the layer is supposed to keep it from being scratched. However, Jesus Pintado recalled a different experience after noticing the horror on a woman’s face who noticed the change:
“There was a woman with two kids and they looked really pale and scared because the floor just cracked. I’m scared of heights in general so when I saw that happen, I was like nope, not going on.”

Officials added that the cracked glass will be investigated by engineers. Pintado also uploaded a video on Facebook to prove that the cracked floors were a cause for concern.
