Police received a strange call Friday when someone reported a woman riding an electric cart in a Walmart while drinking wine from a Pringles can.
Texas police responded to the call about a suspicious person in the store’s parking lot around 9 a.m. Police say they were told the woman was riding through the parking lot on an electric cart since 6:30 a.m. that morning while drinking wine. The cart is typically used for people with physical limitations.
Upon arrival, officers searched the store for the woman and eventually found her at a restaurant nearby. As a result of her actions, she was banned from Walmart.
As crazy as this incident sounds, a similar situation happened like this earlier this month. On January 5th, a Connecticut man was banned from Family Dollar after being accused of stealing $60 worth of items. The manager told police that she saw Stephen Joyner conceal many items in his jacket. He was accompanied by a female friend but there was no evidence to prove that she also stole items as well. The 50-year-old man eventually admitted to police of shoplifting after and was charged with sixth-degree larceny.
