A Florida woman was found dead in her boyfriend’s car trunk two weeks after he was arrested for attacking her with a knife.
WTSP reports 57-year-old Warren Brown was arrested Saturday for the murder of his girlfriend, Sophie Solis, 43. Officials arrived at the scene after friends were concerned about the victim’s whereabouts and found bloody clothing along with photos of the couple next to her body. The St.Petersburg Police Department said in a statement that the couple had a history of domestic violence before Solis’ death.
On Nov.9, Brown was arrested for aggravated assault and domestic battery after using a knife to cut Solis’ arms. He was released on bail the following day and was told to stay away from her. Although he showed up to her home a few days later, Solis called the police and told them she didn’t want to press charges. An affidavit quoted Solis saying she was “not in fear of violence from the Defendant.”
