We all experience frustration when waiting in that dreaded DMV line, but, one woman had enough and decided to fire shots because the line was too slow!
The Kansas City Star reports that officers responded to reports of a woman armed with a gun shooting outside of a DMV in Kansas City. Vanessa D. Richey, 34, of Kansas City, had become impatient with the DMV and decided to take matters into her own hands.
Patricia Zick, who witnessed the event said that the woman came into the DMV office and saw the huge line of people and became enraged. She then started arguing back and forth with staff before going outside and firing shots into the air. Many were afraid because it wasn’t clear if she was going to come shoot at people inside.
“We’re still early on in the investigation, but it is to my understanding that she didn’t make it into the DMV,” said Major Erik Holland, from the Platte County Sheriff’s Office. “People saw the gun before she got in. The doors were locked and she fired the shots before she got into the DMV.”
