A Texas woman was shot and killed by her brother before turning the gun on himself during her housewarming party.
The New York Post reports Julianna Carr and three other people were shot by her brother, John Wright, during her housewarming party Wednesday night. Authorities arrived at the scene around 11:30 p.m. and said that Carr was pronounced dead moments after the shooting. Wright was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
The three victims, two women, and a man are expected to survive after sustaining injuries from the shooting. Fort Bend County officers stated that three other guests were able to flee from the deadly shooting. Carr and her family recently moved to the neighborhood and authorities stated that the motive behind the shooting was unclear.

Fort Bend County Sheriff Troy Nehls said the department is trying to figure out the factors leading up to the shooting.
“Our detectives are here with our crime scene unit.We are going to try to piece this together and determine what happened.”
