Woman Who Climbed Into Lion Exhibit At The Bronx Zoo Plans To Surrender To The NYPD

#Socialites, do you guys remember Myah Autry? The woman who was caught on camera back in September taunting a lion inside an exhibit at the Bronx Zoo? Well, she spoke publicly for the first time Thursday after an appearance in New Jersey court on a shoplifting charge.

Following court, Autry talked to reporters outside and shared that she plans to surrender to the NYPD to face her criminal trespassing charge for her crazy stunt. While ranting, she explained that she’s actually a big fan of law enforcement and even shouted them out during her interview:

“I love the NYPD. Hi NYPD,” Autry told reporters in a video interview outside the Kearny, N.J. courthouse. “I have no problem with the police.”

Although she didn’t talk much about her shoplifting case, Autry rambled on about her experience being close next to the king of the jungle: “I fear nobody,” she said. “No animal, no human, no one. So no, I wasn’t fearing of the lion because the lion loved me. That’s why he came to me and I let the lion know: ‘Lion, I love you.’” She added, “I am the lion, now,” she said. “Can’t you tell?”

Autry didn’t share when exactly she plans to turn herself in. But in the meantime, let us know your thoughts on this in the comment box below!
