Woman With Severe Anxiety Dies After Being Sent Numerous “Angry Face” Emojis
A young woman who suffers from severe anxiety died from heart failure after her mother accidentally posted angry emoji’s on her Facebook.
According to The Sun, Shabina Miah, 33, had posted a video of a night out and her mom tried to press the like button, but, instead commented a bunch of angry face emojis. Her iPad seemed to have malfunctioned and wouldn’t allow her to remove them.
Shabina then took it the wrong way and blocked her mother. She also refused to take her calls.
“My iPad was playing up and I saw she posted on Facebook a little video of part of the circus. I went to put a ‘like’ on it but an angry face came up. I pressed it again and it wouldn’t go. There were 100s of angry faces and she had taken it the wrong way.
‘She blocked me and I tried to ring her and text her but wouldn’t answer. I was upset that she was upset with me. Because she wouldn’t answer I went round and we ended up having an argument and I was very distressed, her mom said.”
When her mom went to her daughter’s house to try and explain what happened, they got into a heated argument.
Shabina was later found dead in bed the next day.
An autopsy showed that she died from congestive cardiac failure.
Shabina Had been suffering from depression and anxiety for a while now. She had also consumed cocaine prior to her death, but, the coroner ruled that it was not an excessive amount.
