RZA the leader of the clan says that Taylor had so many qualities that helped them choose her for this collaboration.

“Teyana is the quintessential modern warrior,” says RZA. “I’ve been in the industry for a long time and there’s definitely an imbalance of power and opportunity. She embodies strength and confidence, never compromising and being apologetic about it. She’s tipping the scale to bring things into balance—and beauty is just one tool in her arsenal.”

The color names are chi (high shine red), sacred (rose gold glitter), fire (matte orange-red), flow (high, shine rosy beige), frequency (purple glitter), source (high shine burgundy), cypher (high shine brown), ruckus (high shine hot pink). Each named after the eight earthly elements of the I Ching, an ancient Chinese book of wisdom

This collection takes inspiration from the Kung Fu culture and Chinese philosophy’s feminine yin energy to create a unique packaging and design on each lipstick container.

According to RZA, this collection is set to inspire women.

In previous generations, the feminine energy has been dampened by the world,” he explains. “But now, women’s strength, beauty, and wisdom is finally being celebrated and permeating a [male-dominated society]. Warriors come in all forms, but right now women are the modern warriors, unapologetic in their strength and speaking out about things they’ve held in or feared they’d be shunned for on both a personal and political level.”
