A Dutch Youtuber and his friend were arrested in Nevada earlier this week after they trespassed the area surrounding Area 51.
The New York Post reports Ties Granzier,20, and his friend Govert Charles Wilhelmus Jacob Sweep,21, were apprehended by police Tuesday after their car was found near a gate about three miles in Nevada National Security Site property. During an interview with deputies, the two men explained that they saw the “No Trespassing” signs along the Mercury Highway entrance of the facility but decided to visit the area. A phone, drone, several cameras, and a laptop were found inside of the vehicle.
Grazier also explained that was he was a YouTuber after authorities found the equipment and discovered footage of the site.
The two men were arrested and charged with trespassing and were booked at the Nye County Detention Center. Grazier is well known for his boat building videos along with “dog houses and other stuff.” His most famous video is a clip of Grazier building a boat out of duct tape in his backyard which gained 500,000 views.
