YouTuber Brooke Houts Avoids Criminal Charges For Dog-Beating Video
Brooke Houts, the YouTuber who “accidentally” uploaded a video of her beating her dog last month, is set to walk free, avoiding any criminal charges.
Following the viral video, which features her smacking and spitting on her 75-pound Doberman, Sphinx, Houts issued an apology to “anyone who ha[d] been affected negatively by the footage.”
While the LAPD’s Animal Cruelty Task Force opened an investigation for animal abuse, officials tell TMZ that they’ve concluded; determining that the evidence doesn’t support criminal charges. Houts will keep custody of Sphinx, unless new evidence is presented — enough to reopen the case.
