DJ Khaled, John Legend, Kirk Franklin, Meek Mill, Roddy Rich, and YG paid tribute to Nipsey Hussle on the Grammy stage.
SFGate reports the performance was opened up by director Ava DuVernay with a variety of dancers and band players. Meek Mill performed his new song “Letter to Nipsey” and shortly after, DJ Khaled, YG, Kirk Franklin, John Legend, and Roddy Rich performed “Higher.” The song was nominated for best rap/sung performance and won later tonight! This was the second posthumous Grammy win for Nipsey Hussle. The rapper won Best Rap Performance for “Racks in The Middle” during the pre-ceremony.

Towards the end of the performance, DJ Khaled said “Rest in peace Nipsey Hussle. Rest in peace Kobe Bryant” as images of the two icons appeared on the screen.

Earlier tonight, Alicia Keys paid tribute to Bryant during the opening of the awards ceremony and sang “Hard to Say Goodbye” with Boyz II Men.
